The Enugu police on Friday  confirmed for the killing of a kidnappper and arrested the gang, during on a guy shot break out at their hideout at Abakapa Nike.

From the new letter, it was equally disclosed that three of the victims were rescued unhurt by officers of the command during the operation in Enugu.

The case statement signed by the states police public Relations officer, PPRO  Daniel Ndukwe reported that the feat was recorded in two separate operations on May 16th and 26th respectively.

 He also disclosed that the operatives engaged the suspected kidnappers on a gun out break leading to the death of one and the arrest of the other who sustained severe bullets injury on the spot.

According to him, preliminary investigation reveals that two of the victims a father and daughter were reported kidnapped on the 15th of may by 5pm by the kidnappers at a building site in Eziama Abakpa Nike.

 The combined team of operating known as anti- kidnapping and anti-cult Units attached on intelligence rescued the victims unhurt inside a forest im the community.

The third victim he noted was reportedly kidnapped on 25th may by 8:30 pm on the spot of exchange for her son and one other who were being held by the alleged kidnappers.

 The police Shakespeare also reported follwoing a tactical and intelligence operation carried out by operatives of the command anti-kidnapping Unit at the forest the victim was successfully rescued unhurt after that.

The second suspect was reportedly arrested with severe bullet injuries and in  a critical conditions,  the PPRO said one AK- 47 with breech No HM9221 twenty rounds of live ammunition and two matchets with four handsets and some cash was recovered from them.

Commending the operatives for their efforts the state commissioner of police, CP Ahmad AbdurRahman urged residents to always assist the police with credible iformation required to effectively police the state.
